I'm such an embryo when it comes to blogging. Really!! What is blogging? Is it like an online journal, or a commentary on various subjects? Ok...let's take a swing at this.
The Power of Meditation is my weapon of choice. It's because it's like a friend who helps me fight my own demons, ghosts of the past, challenges of the present and hopes of manifesting better experiences in the future.
It can be done with different methods I have found, but I suppose the power of our imagination to create the visuals needed to get into our inner selves and get into those areas of energy that hold us back, be it fear, grief or various forms of anger, we are the creative masters who use our imagery, and even using sounds to bring us into contact with our core soul being, and that is at the heart of using meditation to free oneself.
The ancient masters of India taught us to use very effective "systems" ... energy systems. Defining us as having emotional bodies, spiritual bodies, mental bodies and physical bodies as emanating from us like ripples of water in a pool. You can also view them as "energy fields". Broken down even further are the "energy centers" called Chakra's. It is through the Chakra's that the deep energy levels are balanced and cleared. This is one type of energetic work that can be done. The result in rebalancing and clearing these areas is a renewal, high energy and much greater clarity.
There are also other ways to clear and heal energy, the Budhists use other techniques, a couple ... one of them involves the voice, or sound. Sounds can be very, very powerful to take us down deep into our subconscious selves, that place behind the veil of consciousness. They use a mantra, a repeated set of words, and this can be quite of effective to bring to you, the incident that originates the feeling behind the words. Humming or Singing bowls can take a person to the outer world of our consciousness, too. It's like sinking into a cosmic worm hole that quickly speeds one to a new galaxy of awareness.
These are two methods I have used when I have taught meditation and also when I practice it to help balance myself out.
Another very powerful thing that meditation can do, is to draw out one's own intuitive gifts. It seems it helps me to do this, but all of us over time can through meditation tap into a more comfortable place inside of ourselves that receives impressions, be they visual, words, auditory or sentient (strong feelings). This comes with the territory of meditation; the development of our own intuitiveness.
The great power of meditation can clear us to become more balanced by way of our energies and thereby help us feel more confident and have greater clarity about ourselves and the world around us. It helps attune us to the universe and a spiritual element which can only be defined by you. I call this divinity and God, though you may call it something else.
